So many great memories! Some of my favorites include participating in the Torch Light Parade, Pride parade, being interviewed for CTV and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald Children's House. I am so fortunate to have become great friends with all of the titleholders in my year and love seeing how everyone's lives have changed since then. I also loved being a judge in 2016 and watching the participants grow over a single weekend.
I am still working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, mainly working in hospice and palliative care. I am currently working on completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in order to become a Registered Nurse. I have also continued to participate in bodybuilding competitions, though school takes up all my time these days. Most recently I have added Cinder to my family, a rescue cat from VOKRA.
Participating in the Miss BC program gave me so much confidence and allowed me to become a better public speaker. I also got the privilege of meeting some of the most smart, talented and beautiful (inside and out) women in British Columbia.
The Miss BC program is not a beauty pageant, it is a program for self-development and getting involved in your community. I would highly recommend this program to every woman. It will challenge you to be a better version of yourself, you will learn amazing skills and make life-long friendships.
