I loved every minute of being Mrs. Lower Mainland. When I volunteered at the Terry Fox Run, I made a lot of new friends. People were coming up to me and thanking me for volunteering. Every volunteer counts. It's a great feeling to give back.
I am a first time mom to a beautiful baby boy. I volunteer and donate whenever I can. Volunteering was a huge wake up call for me. I have a better understanding about cancer and what families are going through. I also appreciate the Variety Children's Charity. This program is a blessing to children with disabilities. I didn't realize how expensive some of the equipment is for families.
Miss BC is a wonderful program especially if you have never done a pageant before. It's not about how you look on the outside. It's about your attitude and manners; all about what counts inside of you. I love how there is no bikini modeling. The Miss BC staff are all hard workers and amazing. I still have a nice friendship with Gloria.
