Miss BC

Encountering the right mentor at the right time can be a life-changing experience. Inspired by incredible women in my life, I strive to empower other women to achieve their professional and personal goals. The Miss BC platform will enable me to highlight the value of female mentoring relationships and encourage youth to be active role models in their communities. I view Miss BC as a unique opportunity to celebrate the lives and achievements of all women across the province.

As someone who is an advocate for community service work, I have the honour of supporting organizations such as: Kinsmen Place Lodge, MOSAIC and the Surrey Women’s Centre. I have witnessed first-hand the impact dedicated individuals can have in the lives of others through my involvement in the non-profit sector. One of my greatest strengths as a student, activist, and mentor is to bring an elevated sense of passion and purpose to everything that I do.

Maya Angelou once said: “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.” This is true – I believe that everyone can use their voice to positively influence the world around them.
